After a successful coffee morning last month at SPACE. We are delighted to announce the next coffee morning, which will be on Friday 17th February. It will be an informal session, where parents will be able to catch up with other parents. At each of our events through the year we will have people from education, health and charities. Pop along so you can ask them any questions about accessing their services. Children are welcome!
The PCF where delighted to run another successful third sector meeting, with 10 charities from across Cheshire, who all support parents and carers with children with SEND. The Charites shared their experiences and challenges that their families they are supporting are facing. Our next meeting will be held in June 2023.
Thank you to Down Syndrome Cheshire for hosting this meeting and for the fantastic tour of their venue.
Thank you to all the charities who attended:
At the beginning of the month, we hosted our second School Reps meeting. It was great opportunity to catch up and to find out what has been working well and what hasn't been working well in schools across Cheshire. If you would like to become a school rep, please click on the link below.
PCF reps continue to attend meetings, to share your views and opinions. This month those meeting have included:
Updates from the Director Education and Inclusion, Debbie Edwards and
Director of Children's Services, Helen Brackenbury.
Preparation for Adulthood looking at College Courses and gaps in provision
Meeting with Information Advice and Support to share common feedback from parents
Contract review of the short break services for Endorphins and Community Connections.
We also fed back about continued gaps in services that will be included in the Council perceived gaps report.
