Our face-to-face Forum was a success!
Great to hear about Preparation for Adulthood and Supported Internships in Cheshire West & Chester. Special shout out to Dom who shared his experience of a supported internship leading to paid employment.
Also great information from Gill Tyler (Designated Medical Officer for CWaC) about the importance of a healthy lifestyle to prepare our young people for the transition to adulthood.
Thank you to all of you who came and for the professionals who presented, despite the impending Ofsted inspection.

On February 11th, 2025, parents, carers, and professionals gathered at Hartford Golf Club for the Neurodevelopmental Forum—a day dedicated to discussing support for neurodivergent children and young people in Cheshire West and Chester.

Parent Carers met with Local Authority Commissioners and service providers to share their views and experiences of ‘Short Breaks’ and wraparound care for disabled children.
We recently hosted the “What’s a Panel?” event, featuring Karen Cove, a Senior SEN Leader, who shared her expertise on SEND panels and their critical role in decision-making. This session aimed to demystify the process for parents and carers.
